osm2gtfs for Addis Ababa

Based on https://github.com/grote/osm2gtfs

Used to generate https://github.com/AddisMap/AddisMapTransit-gtfs

Configuration

  • Set OSM2GTFS_OVERPASS_URL to use a single Overpass endpoint for all OSM queries.
  • If the variable is unset, osm2gtfs falls back to https://overpass-api.de/api/interpreter.

Specialities for Addis Ababa

  • route_short_name is cleaned up until the correct naming is decided by the authorities and can be edited on OSM
  • timepoint is set to 0 for all but the first and last stop, also we include it always as recommended by the https://gtfs-validator.mobilitydata.org validator.
