recall hooks for multi purpose Agents? hermes/openclaw etc.

I just found out that you (seem) to need to hook the mcp brain into your agent.

Install the capture + recall hooks
This is what makes memory ambient. Without these hooks iai-mcp reads memory but never writes conversation content and >never injects recall at session start. One command wires all three:
iai-mcp capture-hooks install # copies all three hooks + patches ~/.claude/settings.json
iai-mcp capture-hooks status # verify: should print "status: ACTIVE"
iai-mcp capture-hooks uninstall # clean removal if ever needed

I run my isi with hermes agent and it works most of the time but not always. If I ask about specifics it sometimes knows and remembers, but I think it forgets to store stuff most of the time.

I think I / we need something you did for codex, also for hermes and other agents like openclaw.

Does anyone have Ideas? or should I just ask hermes to figure it out based on your codex examples?

Hey. Great point. I made hooks for Claude but never really thought about Hermes since I don't use it myself. People told me they figured it out on their own but if you have any Hermes specific hooks and tools I would really appreciate a contribution 🙂
