There is a noticeable discrepancy in scrolling behavior and velocity between the main feed (Overview/Top Stories) and the individual Article/Comments view. The scrolling in the article view feels "heavy" or "laggy" compared to the smooth, native-feeling momentum of the main feed.
Steps to Reproduce
Open Hacki on iOS (v3.6.5)
Scroll through the Top Articles section. Observe how a light flick results in a long, smooth scroll.
Tap on any article to open it.
Attempt to scroll down using the same amount of force/flick speed.
Behaviour:
- Overview/Top Stories: Smooth, high-velocity scrolling.
- Article/Comments View: friction/damping. The same physical gesture moves the page significantly less distance, making the interface feel laggy.
I think this was introduced around two versions ago.
I'm on an iPhone 13 mini on 18.7.2
