Gate AFP by negotiated version

Some of the field we return were only introduced in AFP 2.0.
Ensure compatibility with AFP 1.1 clients by gating features based on the client's requested version.

I wouldn't worry about it. Netatalk doesn't gate or make any accommodations for AFP 1.1 and it works fine. There were some changes with the file and dir permissions flags, but otherwise its compatible. The earlier client will ignore the extra flags.

That's good to know. So far it looks like some different error return codes really.

Yeah, they added error codes for locked volumes and objects to 2.0. The only big breaking change from 1.1 to 2.0 was to file attributes. Apple renamed the ReadOnly bit to WriteInhibit and added DeleteInhibit and RenameInhibit bits. Inside AppleTalk 2nd Ed. page 13-21 details how a server should handle these bits if a client requests them or sets/clears them.
