AFP generally and AFP over LT performance isn't great. LT in particular seems poor, possibly due to an attempt to rate limit slower clients to prevent them re-requesting the same data when buffers were filled.
Need to add some knobs to test that and compare different performance settings, and consider exposing options out to config.
