NutriTrace v1.0.0-rc.50: OFF Serving Sizes, French Language, Raspberry Pi Support

Features

• Open Food Facts Serving Sizes + Density. Foods scanned or searched from Open Food Facts now auto-import their serving units (1 slice, 1 cookie, 1 bottle, etc.) and can be logged in those units directly. The Food Editor lets you add, rename, or remove serving units on any food, plus set an optional density (g/ml) so liquids like oil or honey convert accurately between mass and volume. An opt-in "Warn About Unit Conversions" toggle in Settings → Diary surfaces when the picked unit doesn't match the food's nutrition basis without a density set. (#69, reported by duplaja, #70, reported by maxerbox)
• French language support. Full UI translation contributed by @antoinech2 (PR #72), switchable in Settings → Language. A handful of less-common settings screens are still in English and will be translated incrementally.
• Background Health Connect sync on Android. Wearable data now syncs to the server about once an hour in the background, even when NutriTrace is closed, so today's steps show up when you open the browser version on a desktop. A new Background Sync row in Settings → Wellness → Health Connect shows when the last sync ran, plus battery-optimization guidance if your phone shuts background work down. (#68, reported by duplaja)
• Raspberry Pi support. The Docker image now ships as a multi-arch manifest (amd64 + arm64), so docker pull works on Pi 4 / Pi 5 without falling back to a source build. (#76, reported by acaonweb)
• Tap a date in the Statistics History list to jump straight to that day. Nutrient, water, and body-stat metrics open the Diary on that date (where you can drill into the Nutrition Summary to see what contributed); wellness metrics like Steps, Sleep, HRV, and Resting HR open the Wellness page on that date. Pairs with the rc.47 Diary Nutrition Summary drill-down for an end-to-end flow from chart spike to root cause. (#64, reported by duplaja)
• Body-stat charts auto-fit the Y-axis and keep your goal in view. Weight, body measurements, resting heart rate, HRV, and similar charts now scale to your actual data range instead of pinning the floor to zero. If you have a goal set for the metric, the range extends to include it too, so progress toward goal stays visible even when the goal is outside your current data range. Nutrition charts (calories, macros, water) still anchor to zero where that reading matters. (#67, reported by duplaja)
• Inline barcode scan icons are more discoverable. The scan buttons on the Foods search bar and the Food Editor are now accent-coloured and meet the iOS / Android 44 × 44 tap-target accessibility minimum. (#71, reported by maxerbox)
• Open Food Facts: skip estimated nutrient values. Nutrients OFF flags as estimated (via the _modifier field) no longer pull rough numbers into your totals.

Fixes

• Adding foods with photos to the diary no longer fails. A food with a phone-camera photo could blow past the diary's body size limit on a busy day, causing saves to silently fail with a 413 error. Photos now save as proper uploaded files instead of inline base64 in the food record. Existing bloated diary entries get trimmed automatically on their next save. (#74, reported by kilkalabs)
• Removing a food or meal photo now actually removes it. Tapping the X to clear a photo, then saving, was leaving the old photo in place. The clear is honored now. (kilkalabs follow-up on #74)
• Statistics charts were blank for users whose only wellness source was Health Connect or Google Health. Steps, Sleep, HRV, RHR, Active Minutes, and other wellness metrics showed empty even on days with synced data. Every wellness-source check across the app now routes through a single shared gate, so adding a future source can't silently leave another surface broken. (#65, reported by duplaja)
• Statistics tab JavaScript error on hover. The chart tooltip no longer throws when you hover over days with missing data, and the frozen half-faded tooltip behaviour is gone. (#66, reported by duplaja)
• Misleading "Health Connect synced" toast on browser. The toast only fires when an actual Health Connect sync runs on Android. (Part of #68, reported by duplaja)
• Readiness on severe HRV crash days reads more accurately. Days when both HRV and resting heart rate were significantly off baseline were reading about 13-15 points higher than Fitbit. Raised the interaction penalty cap so the formula fully reflects the combined crash signal.
• docker-compose: INSECURE_COOKIES is now surfaced in the environment: block as a commented option, with an inline explanation of when to enable it. The README's copy-pastable docker-compose snippet was also missing the env_file: - .env directive (the actual docker-compose.yml in the repo had it), so anyone copying from the README hit the login-loop bug. Both are fixed. (Follow-up to #41 and #43)
