config options?

I've got the patched dovecot built and the dovecot-apnsd running. I saw dovecot / the apns daemon register my phone to one of my accounts but I'm not getting any push notification when mail is delivered nor is there any indication that there's any attempt to push mail.

Following the original sources there are references to adding plugins to lmtp and/or imap plugins. I've tried various permutations of what the original patches recommend but they just cause dovecot to fail to start. I've also tried guessing (apns? apns_plugin?) but same results.

Do I need to add something to the imap and/or lmtp plugin configuration sections to get push mail flowing?
