Is Quick Add loading, and asking for input, when opening Obsidian an expected behavior? #774

Hi Kimberly - sorry for the slow reply. This is not a new feature and not default behavior: QuickAdd only does something at startup when a specific Macro choice has Run on startup enabled (described as "Execute this macro when Obsidian starts"). There is no global startup setting, which is why you could not find one to turn off. The symptoms fit exactly: a startup macro is running a Template choice, which prompts for a file name; cancelling it then produces the "no input received" and "invalid template path" errors you saw. To fix it: open Settings -> QuickAdd and check each Macro choice (open its settings via the wrench icon) for the Run on startup toggle - including macros tucked inside Multi folders - and turn it off. If you do not recognize the macro at all, you can delete it. If none of your macros has the toggle on and the prompt still appears at startup, check whether a sync or backup service keeps restoring an old copy of the plugin settings - and failing that, please open an issue with your choice list and I will dig in. Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
I don't recall Quick Add running on start up; however, the last month or so (not 100% sure how long it's been) when I open Obsidian it is prompting me to type a file name. When I close the box, I receive two Quick Add error messages: no input received and invalid template path, which I would expect because I didn't type a file name, correct? Is loading on start up a new feature? If it is, I don't see a setting to prevent Quick Add from loading on start up.
If this is not the expected behavior, for reference, I've tried disabling both the Templetar and Homepage plugins, which have both been known to cause issues, with no luck.
I appreciate any help and thank you!
Kimberly
