project abandoned?

[Sunset-1982]

Hey!
I have seen that there was no development update since 3 month. Is the project dead or just a creative timeout from cpm?

[gilgameshinter]

it's not dead at all, it's WIP.

[Korrbus]

It was always just a personal pet project, undertaken by the dev in his own spare time to optimize his movie-watching experience. He had just agreed to share his work (as is, no support/future development guaranteed) with us, that's all, and he made it very clear from the start.
If he decided to put an end to it and move to other things, then that's all there is to it. Nothing we can do, other than be thankful for the results of his past work that we are all enjoying.
P.S. personally, I think the project is abandoned, sadly.

here is a build from august by MCFFHAB.

ok np, as I said it was only a short test, it behaves differently depending on DV FEL movie, but I did not need to stop the movie, just rewind back if it gets out of sync when you fast forward, sometimes it even happens with the AM6B+ too for me but it's still WIP the audio sync stuff but it's much better than previous builds.

Thanks for sharing the build! I'll give it a try.

I still hope the project lives on, but I am thankful for all the things this project achieved. Two years ago I couldn't ever Imagine we would have dv support and all the stuff around it like we have now. Great work!

I tried DMDReview's test build on a FEL movie with TrueHD Atmos, but I could not get it properly in sync. Strangely enough, the A14 build has always had perfect sync for me on the AM6B+. Didn't try MCFFHAB's build yet though.

Hello,
I just tried it.
And indeed, now it works without skipping in DV FEL.
HOWEVER, I have audio delay :/ (I've only tried fast-forwarding the film, I haven't been able to try watching it from the beginning yet).

It's very slight, but it's there.
I've tried pausing and resuming, but it doesn't completely solve the problem.

Any ideas?
Thanks

what I did is just rewind and it should get back in sync, but as I said sometimes it behaves differently depending on DV FEL movie.

[htcosk]

thanks nice guy
i wil test it

[htcosk]

I test the updated CPM as the above link. Great Job,
Basically, ship frames issue have big improvment . Only few skip frames happen in DV FEL moive.
But I find that "resume" the movie, ver slow to read the USB HDD sometimes hang up. (A14 version is very fast)
I always need to "play at the beginning " to solve this issue.
May be some bugs in this version. I hope next offical CPM version can fix all this issue. If you have any update version , pls share
Thanks CPM teams.
