is it possible to deactivate or at least to hide the REICAT / SBN Cataloguing section, when adding a new book?

Two ways to get this, depending on whether you want the section gone or just out of the way:

1. Hide it entirely today — the REICAT/SBN section is provided by the "Z39.50/SRU + REICAT/SBN Integration" plugin. Admin → Plugins → deactivate it and the section disappears from the book form (along with the SRU server and SBN import, since they're part of the same plugin).

2. Keep the plugin active but uncluttered — Collapse REICAT/SBN and MAG digital-assets sections on the book form (#274) #276 turns the REICAT/SBN section (and the MAG digital-copies section) into a collapsible accordion: collapsed by default on a new book, and it auto-opens when the book already has SBN data (so editing a catalogued record still shows it). It ships in the next release.

So if you catalogue against SBN occasionally, option 2 keeps it one click away; if you never do, option 1 removes it completely right now.
