You might consider upvoting this VS Code issue which is where the limitation comes from; no reason we couldn't add a customization point to Positron but this is why it isn't built in, in the same way e.g. keyboard bindings are: microsoft/vscode#3130 Can you share an example or say more about how the existing handler isn't working well? e.g. is it not finding the right definition, or at least not the one you prefer? |

Recently, perhaps since the latest update, the behaviour of ctrl + clicking on a function in R opens a new tab which shows the definition of the function. I do not think this works well and would rather have it work like it does with python.
Now when it opens in a new tab it opens in a sort of isolated view, so I can't view the context and cannot edit the function.
I would rather see it behave like it does with python, meaning:
