Shot disable toggle, continuation if Issue 42 (I don't have permission to reopen the issue)
#83
Hello again, yeah the padlock covers the scenario in which you WANT to view that particular scene, but won't cover the parts where you want to render the final video with shots taken out, or you intentionally want to render shots 1, 5, 8 glued and render the fillers later, that's why I was proposing a disable that's a different function than the lock. To do that right now, you need to delete shots.
TLDR: Proposed toggle would mean "Don't render this, pretend it's not here, render without it in the video".
Let me try and formulate a scenario. Say you lay out your general script as such: Shot 1 - Guy this that somewhere in that setting blabla.
[x] Shot 2 - continues - guy keeps doing the thing
[x] Shot 3 - continues - guy keeps doing the thing and it explodes Shot 4 - Now a different scene where guy is a horse
[x] Shot 5 - continues - guy keeps doing horse stuff
[x] Shot 6 - continues - guy is still a horse but hey explodes like these 5 new per-shot images plus 5 shot LoRAs Shot 7 - Yet another scene where guy uses a time machine to go and slap highschool self
[x] Shot 8 - slapping intensifies
Right, so now 2 3 5 6 8 do continue the main scenes but are mainly filler, and you want to first chisel out 1 4 and 7 perfectly before rendering the filler, but the filler is still part of the story just not interesting right now. Or maybe you rendered it all already in the past and want to redo 1 4 7 before you yet again wait for the fillers.
So ideally you'd disable them as not to delete them but are free to write the details in them, but you'd render just 1 4 7 glued to see what the gist is.
Then maybe you go man 3 and 6 kinda drag this the scene too much, how'd it look without them? You render with them disabled, and you realise they were good, so you just re-enable them.
Does that make sense?
Deleting them at any point would force you to re-add their individual references, loras, and whatnot.
Locking them would just add the old versions back or force you to start without them or force you to re-render for an ok viewing experience of what's to be.
