video colors are out of whack and not not even close to other video players

Problem: Windows Media Player and MPC-HC both look identical, but SMPlayer is just... oversaturated I guess? (see below snapshots)
Last time I used it was probably May 17th, and the screenshot I just took in MPC-HC of the same frame of the same video matches the aforementioned screenshot exactly. So~ what happened?

Attempts: Installing smplayer-25.6.0-x64-unsigned.exe over v24.x didn't help. Neither did uninstalling and reinstalling.

For future reference, here some additional details:

• the video (01) is a 1920x1080, 5082kbps data rate, 6751kbps total bitrate, 23.98 fps, HEVC (H265 Main 10 @L5.1) video tack, 1.18GB mkv file
• in both video players, its colors don't match the version on the official YouTube channel (02)
• said version (02) looks no different when played directly through MPC-HC by way of URL, so it's apparently a problem with the file
• below are 3 snips showing the same frame in SMPlayer (top) and MPC-HC (bottom) with the former's adjusted to specific Equalizer settings. i settled for the middle one since it's a middle-ground between 02 (bottom left iirc) and both versions of 01.

This is most likely a problem with either mpv or ffmpeg. It is not a smplayer issue. smplayer is just a GUI, it does not decode and display the video. It looks like the output gamma curve does not match the original video gamma, most probably due to an improperly encoded video file. You should compare the logs generated by mpv and mpc-hc (where it plays correctly) to see if both players are reading the video parameters correctly.
