Goal

Improve click-through and answer-engine fit for the existing post /blog/test-flight-android/ without changing the slug or adding routes.

Changes

  • Retitle and rewrite meta description to match queries like "TestFlight for Android" and "android equivalent of TestFlight".
  • Add an answer-first opening paragraph (no TestFlight on Android, Play tracks, Firebase).
  • Fix TestFlight spelling in front matter and closing line.
  • Correct a wrong citation that pointed at Apple TestFlight docs for Google testing guidance.
  • Bump updated_at and head_image_alt.

Localized titles and descriptions will follow via the translation worker meta sync on the next request after deploy (same pattern as #1206). No manual locale file edits.

Search Console context (2026-09-21 to 2026-10-18)

Strong positions for "testflight android" and related queries with low CTR. This PR targets SERP snippet clarity only.

reference with the Android testing guidance URL,
https://developer.android.com/training/testing, while preserving the surrounding
wording and link text.
- Line 24: Update the opening text to clarify that Android lacks a single
unified TestFlight-style app through Google Play, while acknowledging Firebase
App Tester as the tester-facing app for Firebase App Distribution. Preserve the
existing explanation of Google Play testing tracks and Firebase App
Distribution.
