TP-Link M7200 v4.0: Issue listening on 127.0.0.1:4000 - SSL error rx record

Describe the Issue

Tried to install rayhunter v0.12.0 on a TP-Link M7200 (v4.0, firmware) but when i'm trying to reach the webgui to login the installation stops.
At first I can reach http://127.0.0.1:4000 and there I need to click on a link to redirect to https.
There I get: "SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG".

Tried all kind of tricks but nothing worked.

• Cleaned cache and every other thing in browser.
• Tried another browser.
• Trying to manually add port forwarding-rules into router (it did not allow code in ports..only numbers)

I'm stuck since I cant open up telnet.
Any suggestions to go forward?

It worked perfectly fine on a M7350 v5.0 (v0.13.0)..

that should not happen. can you take a screenshot? we do not use https at all.

No, of the page that asks you to "redirect to HTTPS". that is not expected.

interesting, i will check this later. this must be a new feature of firmware v4.0. we've only tested on 3.0.

Browser forces me to use https instead of http.
Is it possible to inject port forwarding-rules another way?
Possible to use password-injection somehow instead of logging in on router?

Yes, you can log into the admin UI and paste this stuff into the browsr console:

Then you should be able to run the installer again, unless there are more things that changed.

If that doesn't work you can try downloading an older firmware and downgrading to it.
