Closes #3257

🏷️ PR Type

What kind of change does this PR introduce?

  • type:bug — Bug fix (non-breaking change that fixes an issue)
  • type:feature — New feature (non-breaking change that adds functionality)
  • type:docs — Documentation only
  • type:refactor — Code refactoring (no functional changes)
  • type:chore — Build, CI, or tooling changes
  • type:breaking-change — Breaking change (fix or feature that changes existing behavior)

📝 Summary

Pins the registered runtime identities inventory ordering and non-emptiness:

  • RegisteredRuntimeIdentities() in internal/reviewerprovider/runtimes.go documents a stable lexical order, and validateEntries in internal/providercontractbundle/bundle.go validates decoded.Runtimes order-sensitively using slices.Equal.
  • In internal/cli/review_transport_capability_test.go, removes pre-sorting before comparison so RegisteredRuntimeIdentities() is asserted directly against the sorted compiled transport boundary, and adds non-empty cardinality and strict sorting assertions.
  • Adds TestRegisteredRuntimeIdentitiesStableLexicalOrder in internal/reviewerprovider/runtimes_test.go to pin non-emptiness and strict lexical ordering at the provider level.
  • Adds TestVerifyArchiveRejectsMismatchedRuntimeInventory in internal/providercontractbundle/bundle_test.go testing reordered, empty, nil, and unknown runtimes rejection by VerifyArchive, along with manifest non-empty and order assertions in TestGenerateIsDeterministicAndVerifiable.

📂 Changes

File / Area What Changed
internal/cli/review_transport_capability_test.go Assert RegisteredRuntimeIdentities() is non-empty, strictly sorted, and matches compiled supported runtimes without sorting registered first
internal/providercontractbundle/bundle_test.go Assert generated manifest runtimes order/non-emptiness; add table tests verifying archive rejection for reordered, empty, nil, and unknown runtimes
internal/reviewerprovider/runtimes_test.go Add unit test pinning non-emptiness and strict lexical sorting of RegisteredRuntimeIdentities()

Material scope: CodeGraph-based call path exploration, test design and implementation for runtime ordering and non-empty assertions, validation.

Verification performed: Focused Go tests (go test -v ./internal/cli, go test -v ./internal/providercontractbundle, go test -v ./internal/reviewerprovider), Go format check (go run ./internal/gofmtcheck).

🧪 Test Plan

Unit Tests

go test -v ./internal/cli -run "TestRegisteredRuntimeIdentitiesMatchCompiledTransportBoundary"

Benchmark Validation
N/A — test-only changes pinning runtime inventory ordering in contract bundle verification and CLI capability tests.

  • Unit tests pass (go test ./...)
  • Go format passes (go run ./internal/gofmtcheck)
  • E2E tests pass (cd e2e && ./docker-test.sh)
  • Manually tested locally

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

The tests now enforce non-empty, strictly lexical runtime ordering and validate that generated bundle manifests match the registered runtime inventory. Archive verification tests reject reordered, empty, nil, and unknown runtime inventories.

Changes

Runtime inventory validation

Layer / File(s) Summary
Runtime ordering contract
internal/reviewerprovider/runtimes_test.go, internal/cli/review_transport_capability_test.go
Tests require registered runtime identities to be non-empty and strictly lexically sorted. Capability comparison sorts only the compiled list.
Bundle manifest validation
internal/providercontractbundle/bundle_test.go
Bundle tests verify the manifest runtime inventory against registered identities and reject reordered, empty, nil, or unknown inventories.

…and non-emptiness

Pin the registered runtime identities inventory ordering and non-emptiness.
The manifest in provider contract bundles relies on order-sensitive validation
via slices.Equal, so asserting strictly sorted lexical order and non-empty
cardinality prevents accidental ordering drift or vacuous test passes.

Rebased onto upstream/main cleanly. All CI tests pass (18/19 checks green).

Could a maintainer please add the type:chore label to satisfy the label check?
