@rsliter All scoped code repairs are complete at The Advisor gate remains red only for five overlapping recommendations covering the five live API-key qualifications. Those runs require this prerequisite to land on trusted Could you confirm the accepted path to review and land this prerequisite while those qualifications remain pending, or identify a supported way to qualify it before landing? The approved provider credential/model configuration source and owner also need confirmation. The planned sequence is maintainer landing, one integration into #12886, then the five live cases with commit-bound results and cleanup evidence. This asks how to resolve the prerequisite dependency, not to waive the live tests. Hermes OAuth remains a separate qualification for Slice 2. Concrete proposed disposition: accept #12958 for staged infrastructure review with the five live API-key cases retained as mandatory post-landing acceptance under #12955 and #12886. Keep both issues open until their required evidence exists. This permits prerequisite review; it does not approve its code or waive consumer qualification. There is a relevant precedent in merged #12847: its remaining qualification boundary explicitly deferred protected candidate runtime qualification until the new trusted controller was adopted. That PR had a green Advisor gate, so it is evidence for staged delivery, not an automatic exception to this PR's red Advisor gate. Please assess the same infrastructure-versus-consumer boundary here. No additional source defect is currently reported. |

## Outcome OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini's existing OpenAI-compatible surface, OpenRouter, and Hermes Provider use native OpenShell providers attached to the selected sandbox. Agents call the provider's endpoint while OpenShell supplies credentials. A provider switch preserves other sandboxes' access. ## Reason Before this change, these fixed hosted selections use the shared inference.local route. Slice 2 moves them onto the native provider foundation already merged in Slice 1, before the separate OpenShell upgrade. ### Related issues Fixes #12589. Part of #12558. ## Changes - Extend the existing native NVIDIA lifecycle for the five fixed hosted providers. Restricted profiles and exact provider identities protect creation, reuse, attachment, and cleanup. Lifecycle, profile-boundary, collision, and registry tests cover these contracts. - Persist gateway ownership and sandbox attachment records. Onboarding and provider switching use those records to confirm changes and retain recovery state after uncertain results. Switching tests cover independent sandboxes and NVIDIA to hosted to NVIDIA transitions. - Configure supported agents with native endpoints and credential placeholders. Preserve API formats, model selection, timeouts, and OpenRouter headers. Hermes login binds its authenticated endpoint and exact public destination IPs to the provider profile. Reuse preserves those pins, and profile export rejects mismatched pins. Raw credentials are not saved in the registry. - Make start, inference get, status, health, connect, rebuild, export, and credential cleanup observe the recorded native selection. Public start regressions cover native NVIDIA, all five hosted providers, legacy routes, and invalid ownership records. - Extend the existing credential-backed smoke owner for the five hosted providers. Four cases request fresh OpenClaw responses; Hermes Provider uses its supported Hermes agent and managed API. Each checks the native endpoint, placeholder, selected adapter, response model, nonempty answer, and the bounded sandbox credential scan. The trusted workflow passes only the selected key and model. The hosted qualification infrastructure landed separately in #12958 and is integrated here. Its five provider targets require explicit selection; default and changed-file selection do not launch them. Custom endpoints, local providers, shared-route retirement, and the OpenShell upgrade remain outside this PR. - Remove obsolete native network grants when rebuilding with a different provider. Carry validated native attachment records through the managed clone handoff without enabling the currently unsupported managed clone transaction. Regression tests cover provider transitions, receipt mismatch refusal, and preserved host policy. - Preserve user-supplied Hermes routes in both OpenClaw and Hermes configuration. Recheck native Hermes provider ownership after backup and before rebuild deletion. Surface redacted credential-registration errors and clarify legacy OpenRouter readiness. Regression tests reproduce route replacement and ownership replacement before the repair. - Verify final onboarding against the recorded native hosted attachment and authenticated endpoint. Reject failed ownership verification without falling back to a healthy shared route; retain legacy routing for sandboxes without a native attachment. Both onboarding verification callers pass the recorded receipt. - Preserve existing hosted-provider credentials during model changes, including rejected verification. New Hermes providers read `NOUS_API_KEY` while OpenShell injects the credential through `OPENAI_API_KEY`. Publish the native credential binding with its attachment so a migrated sandbox can rebuild. - Resolve Pi credential references through its pinned runtime using `${ENV}` interpolation. The image build exercises the installed Pi resolver for all four supported hosted providers, including missing-variable rejection and secret-free configuration. - Update canonical routing documentation, the command reference, and owning inference/E2E guidance. ## Verification Current repair commit: `002e52fb06f6a81ed1c094691a55511f105253ee`. - Extended the existing four fast lifecycle cases to verify actual startup-log artifact retention across restart. Failed stop retains the pre-start snapshot; failed start retains the post-start snapshot; both failures collect once; success collects no failure artifact. The four cases passed. Omitting artifact publication in a negative control caused all three failure cases to fail. Existing arbitrary-secret redaction and cleanup/readiness checks remain. - Normal isolated commit and publication hooks, growth/source-shape budgets, and CLI typechecking passed. GitHub verified the signed commit. Current-commit CI and automated reviews are pending. - On parent `5c2ddb897`, [core CI](https://github.com/NVIDIA/NemoClaw/actions/runs/38100828230) and [managed Docker/Podman activation](https://github.com/NVIDIA/NemoClaw/actions/runs/38100828219) passed. CodeRabbit completed with only the artifact-retention suggestion addressed above. These are parent results, not current-head qualification. - The parent's [Advisor run](https://github.com/NVIDIA/NemoClaw/actions/runs/38101917452) failed for two telemetry findings and unresolved OAuth qualification. The [source-based dispositions](#12886 (comment)) show that the installer checks the shell-local flag before launching a child, and the cited telemetry files are byte-identical to Advisor's base. Removing them would delete inherited functionality. No green Advisor result or waiver is claimed; fresh review must evaluate the current head. - The five live hosted-provider scenarios and interactive Hermes OAuth request/restart/request evidence remain missing. An API-key smoke does not qualify OAuth. Brev source/dependency preparation passed on `5c2ddb897`; the disposable VM is stopped pending an approved provider credential/model source. Before live execution it must use the then-current reviewed PR head. Historical repair `00413e559` fixed DCode native attachment forwarding and Hermes restart expectations. Its focused local validation passed 169 tests and typechecks; a broader isolated resume run had seven host-lock access failures and is not claimed as passing. Earlier evidence below applies to `f1ffc75750441e60f8e73c9c334387820411f763`; it does not qualify the current repair commit. - Current upstream `main` (`ab7fa8b92`) is integrated without manual conflict edits or rewritten history. GitHub confirms the PR is mergeable, and the signed commit is Verified. Normal isolated commit/publication hooks and CLI typechecking passed. - [Full CI, attempt 2](https://github.com/NVIDIA/NemoClaw/actions/runs/38087632296/attempts/2) passed, including all twelve CLI shards, coverage aggregation, static checks, installer integration, compilation and type checks. Attempt 1 had one 60-second child-process timeout in the unchanged Windows/Ollama boundary test. Its five cases passed locally, including the failing case in 1.35 seconds; the single bounded failed-job retry then passed. The original failure evidence is retained in [shard 4's first attempt](https://github.com/NVIDIA/NemoClaw/actions/runs/38087632296/job/114317699216). - [Managed images](https://github.com/NVIDIA/NemoClaw/actions/runs/38087632284) passed: both Pi architectures, all individual agent builds/startups, staging QA, and combined Docker and rootless Podman activation. The exact-head [Hermes job](https://github.com/NVIDIA/NemoClaw/actions/runs/38087632284/job/114317866650) executed the pinned-runtime native credential resolver probe successfully for all five hosted providers. Synthetic resolver checks do not establish credential-backed provider acceptance. - [CodeRabbit](#12886 (comment)) completed the merge review with no actionable findings, and all review threads are resolved. All nine exact-head [Advisor code-finding ledgers](https://github.com/NVIDIA/NemoClaw/actions/runs/38089980696) are clear, with zero P0/P1 findings. The Advisor gate remains failed on one unresolved interactive Hermes OAuth recommendation; no green Advisor gate or current-head exception is claimed. - The merged-tree generator and policy checks passed 132 tests. Focused local CLI validation passed 553 tests and failed 54 on protected host state access (`~/.nemoclaw`, EPERM). Untouched `main` reproduced the same access failures in two representative suites (23 failed, 14 passed). These local limitations are retained; the current-head Linux CI results above supply the broader validation. - The credential repairs also passed the policy/profile/context regressions and live-to-fast test parity check. Both Pi receipt authority hashes come from the same successful [AMD64/ARM64 qualification run 38081573013](https://github.com/NVIDIA/NemoClaw/actions/runs/38081573013), source `fa041811c`; strict source parity passed during publication validation. - The five explicitly selected credential-backed provider cases (`hosted-inference-openai`, `hosted-inference-anthropic`, `hosted-inference-gemini`, `hosted-inference-openrouter`, and `hosted-inference-hermes`) have not run. Interactive Hermes OAuth request/restart/request evidence is also missing and has no supported selector in the supplied inventory. These acceptance gaps remain tracked in #12589. This review does not establish independent approval or authorize merge. ## Review notes Historical review-handoff exception for `892770dd9b1219e5cdd73cab4d74175cc01d5826`: **PR Review Advisor / Require no Advisor blockers**, [run 38009774505, job 114087858834](https://github.com/NVIDIA/NemoClaw/actions/runs/38009774505/job/114087858834). The [maintainer-authorized exception](#12886 (comment)) defers real-provider API-key smoke and interactive Hermes OAuth qualification. Follow-up acceptance remains tracked in #12589. These tests have not run and are not passed. The exception does not waive other CI, approve the code or authorize merge. It is tied to the previous commit; no green Advisor result or new exception is claimed for the current repair commit. The earlier Brev SSH failure was followed by successful setup of a separate disposable environment. The current credential-backed run is pending an approved credential/model source; Hermes OAuth additionally needs its supported interactive login. The prepared VM is stopped to limit idle compute cost. No live acceptance result is claimed. Sensitive paths include managed inference profiles, agent images, configuration generation, inference ownership, onboarding and the credential-bearing E2E workflow. The existing trusted controller, candidate authorization and artifact identity checks are preserved. Local boundary tests and automated review are evidence, not independent maintainer approval. Independent maintainer review remains pending. No merge is authorized. --- Signed-off-by: Deepak Jain <deepujain@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Prekshi Vyas <prekshiv@nvidia.com> <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, OpenRouter, and Hermes Provider can use native endpoints alongside NVIDIA Endpoints; custom and local providers continue using the shared inference route. * Native hosted connections work across setup, provider switching, recovery, rebuilds, and agent configuration. Outcome
The trusted E2E controller can explicitly select the five hosted-provider API-key smoke tests required by Slice 2. It forwards the selected provider credential and approved model to the existing smoke harness. Default and changed-file plans exclude these targets while Slice 2 product behavior is pending.
Reason
PR #12886 defines targets that the trusted planner on main cannot yet select. This prerequisite supplies that CI support independently of the product change.

The reporter keeps its existing permissions and helper checkout pinned togithub.workflow_sha; it does not execute candidate artifacts. CodeRabbit and all nine Advisor specialists reviewed the latest model-routing repair without an actionable code finding. Independent maintainer approval remains outstanding. The first Advisor attempt's claim that hosted runs receive NVIDIA keys is not supported by the caller: it explicitly passes only DockerHub credentials and the selected hosted key, without secret inheritance. The profile boundary validator enforces that keyset. No credential routing change was made for that finding.
The workflow must land on trusted main before qualifying the integrated Slice 2 candidate. Approved credential/model sources remain unconfirmed. Candidate-controlled host processes can read the selected key; sandbox scanning and artifact redaction do not revoke it. Sandbox cleanup does not prove provider-store removal. Discard the approved disposable gateway and follow the credential owner's rotation/revocation policy.

Budget acceptance is not code approval or live qualification.Hermes OAuth remains a separate parent requirement: device authorization, a fresh request through the returned native endpoint, restart, and another fresh request in an approved interactive environment.
