Running checklist of the human-only steps to get OpenJam shipped. Maple keeps this updated; tick items off as you do them.

Status (2026-06-26): v0.4.2 is 🎉 live on the Chrome Web Store → https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/openjam/oljdbmjhfjnhnpjcehcnkbbjdgnpjdaj. Automated publishing is live (SUBMIT_KEYS set + verified; tag v* to release). The remaining store work is the Edge listing (#4).

Now

• Merge PR Store readiness: generated icons + screenshots, packaging #2 — merged (icons, screenshots, GPL, e2e suite, privacy policy, CI + release workflows).

Store accounts (one-time, identity verification — only you)

• Chrome Web Store: registered; v0.4.2 live → https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/openjam/oljdbmjhfjnhnpjcehcnkbbjdgnpjdaj (listing per Create Chrome Web Store listing (one-time manual setup) #3)
• Edge: free Partner Center registration → https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/extensions/publish/publish-extension — then the listing per Create Edge Add-ons listing (one-time manual setup) #4
• SUBMIT_KEYS repo secret: Chrome side set + verified (clientId/clientSecret/refreshToken); release.yml auto-publishes on v* tags. Add the Edge block (productId/clientId/apiKey) when Create Edge Add-ons listing (one-time manual setup) #4 is done.

Then

• Privacy policy URL (https://github.com/SaintPepsi/openjam/blob/main/PRIVACY.md) in the Chrome listing (Publish a privacy policy page #5); add it to the Edge listing when created (Create Edge Add-ons listing (one-time manual setup) #4)
• Bump version + git tag vX.Y.Z && git push --tags → release workflow publishes (automation verified)

Optional / when you feel like it

• Your personal email (ianhogers@hotmail.com) is in the public commit history — fine for OSS, but switch to GitHub's noreply for future commits if you care
• Dynamic injection refactor for better CWS review odds (Inject recorder at record time instead of <all_urls> content script #7)
• Audio capture (Audio capture: tab audio / mic narration on the timeline #8)

Plan update (2026-06-11): unpacked-first phase. Ian wants people on the unpacked build before store submission. Pre-built zip is now on the unpacked-0.2.0 release — share that link with testers. Store registration items below are deferred until the soak period ends (registering the CWS account early is still worthwhile — the $5 verification can lag). #7 (dynamic injection) is parked until store submission is back on.
