Add LICENSE.md (CC BY 4.0) and CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md#4
Merged
Conversation
- LICENSE.md: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) with a Shopify copyright header, per the open-source launch-readiness checklist. CC BY 4.0 fits documentation/spec content better than MIT; decision confirmed by maintainers. - CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md: Contributor Covenant 2.1 with opensource@shopify.com as the enforcement contact, per Shopify open-source guidelines. - README.md: point the License section at CC BY 4.0 (was MIT, with no backing file). Resolves the broken ./LICENSE.md and ./CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md links referenced from README.md and CONTRIBUTING.md. Assisted-By: devx/acfa0887-c5bb-4a5d-a88a-ee91d8c918a4

What
Adds the two missing open-source launch-readiness files and fixes the broken links that already point at them:
LICENSE.md— Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), with aCopyright (c) 2026-present, Shopify Inc.header per the open-source guidelines.CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md— Contributor Covenant 2.1 withopensource@shopify.comas the enforcement contact (the standard Shopify convention).README.md— License section now points to CC BY 4.0 (previously linked[MIT](./LICENSE.md)with no backing file). Why
README.mdandCONTRIBUTING.mdboth link to./LICENSE.mdand./CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md, but neither file existed — broken links plus an undefined license (which defaults to "all rights reserved" and blocks the reuse/contribution this catalog exists for).Notes
