theSEEmachine

When I was a kid, I had amblyopia ("lazy eye"). This meant that I had one eye that did more work than the other. You know what that also meant? Wearing an eye patch for nearly 24/7.

Now, if you have ever worn a pirate costume with the eye patch, you may have learned the hard way that your depth perception changes, resulting in you crashing into walls a lot (not too much, I hope) Crashing into walls and other objects isn't just a problem for people with amblyopia. People who are blind or visually impaired have the same problem....

And that is why I created the SEE machine (or Sight Enhancement Equipment, which helps you see) The way the glasses work is simple. You put them on, and the ultrasonic distance sensor in the middle sends a signal to the Motherboard. The sensors detect a wall starting from 1 meter away, and the buzzer connected to the Motherboard emits a noise. The buzzer will make higher- or lower-pitched noises depending on how close you are. The CCircuit design isshown below

This machine is then attached to the glasses, producing the final result shown here:

About

Glasses with the sensor built in the middle, and makes noise when somweone is too close to wall. These glasses were made for the blind and less of sight to make sure the do not hit walls and injure themselves. This was made for the hack club's fallout hackathon
