Summary

  • Adds standalone Rollup and Rolldown e2e setups alongside the existing Vite matrix. Each packs the plugin, installs it into an isolated project, builds the shared fixture, serves the output with a small static Node server, and verifies rendering/artifacts in Chromium.
  • Adds --bundler vite|rollup|rolldown|all to the e2e runner (default: all), plus test:e2e:vite and test:e2e:bundlers scripts.
  • Refactors the shared bundle/sourcemap assertions so Vite and non-Vite builds use the same checks.
  • Fixes the inaccurate Rollup documentation and adds complete non-Vite setup instructions, including the required JSX transpilation and CSS bridge between the plugin's two halves.

Verification

  • npm test — 219 unit tests pass
  • npm run lint — clean
  • npm run test:e2e — Vite 5/6/7/8 dev + build, Rollup build, and Rolldown build all pass

Run the shared fixture through standalone Rollup and Rolldown builds in
addition to the Vite matrix, then verify the emitted CSS, JS hashes,
sourcemaps, and computed styles in a browser.

Document the non-Vite plugin ordering and provide complete Rollup and
Rolldown configs with a CSS bridge, since the plugin needs JSX and CSS
plugins between its two halves when Vite is not handling them.
