Handle same-page anchors while Lenis is settling
stopInertiaOnNavigate only resets Lenis for links whose pathname changes, while anchors remains disabled. If a user clicks the plain hash links in components/toc.tsx or the skip link while wheel interpolation is still running, the browser performs the native anchor jump but Lenis remains in its smooth-scrolling state and the next frame writes the previous animated position, pulling the page away from the requested heading. Enable Lenis anchor handling or explicitly reset it for same-page hash navigation.

Coordinate Lenis with the existing body-lock hook
This observer only notices Radix's data-scroll-locked attribute, but SplitReveal defaults to lockScroll and useLockBody locks through inline overflow and fixed-position styles without setting that attribute. While its preload overlay is active, wheel input still advances Lenis's target; when the hook restores its captured scroll position, the next Lenis frame can overwrite it and jump the demo underneath or immediately after the reveal. Stop Lenis for that lock mechanism too, or mark/prevent input on the overlay.

A photograph opens out of a pill-shaped gap in the headline as you scroll, the words part, and a caption reads in word by word. - Composable parts: Media, Headline, Lead, Opening, Trail, Caption, Text, Action, Hint - One scroll value drives everything through two CSS variables; scrolling never re-renders React - Opening measured from layout, corrected for scaled ancestors, re-measured on resize, rewrap, and font load - Page-scroll or contained (viewportHeight) mode; contained mode is keyboard scrollable - Container-query layouts for narrow and short stages - Static reduced-motion layout from the same tree - Styles in @layer components so Tailwind classes on parts override them Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Two page-scroll chapters (night, then first light) with a route-details band between them. Registered in the Scroll demo group with recipe notes. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

- Merge consumer refs with internal refs on Root, Opening, and Action, so a passed ref no longer breaks contained scrolling, measurement, or the action - Headline owns its id so the section's aria-labelledby always resolves - Disable the hint loop under prefers-reduced-motion before hydration - Demo uses next/link for its internal docs link Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The stat cells were inset boxes, so values sat ~32px in from the headline. Values now start flush with it; rules sit only between items (vertical side by side, horizontal when stacked). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Layout, color, spacing, type, the narrow-stage container query, the reduced-motion layout, and the action styles now live in Tailwind classes on each part, per the repo convention. cn() lets a className on any part override them, replacing the earlier @layer workaround. aperture-reveal.css keeps only what Tailwind can't express cleanly: the per-frame calc() values driven by --e and --q, the hint's pseudo-element animation, the container height query, and releasing those values for reduced motion (380 -> 170 lines, mostly comments and calc). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Wheel input is interpolated so scroll-linked animations move continuously instead of in wheel-notch steps. Touch and keyboard keep native scrolling. - Lenis advances on Motion's frame loop, one clock for scroll and animation - Nested scrollers (sidebar, code blocks, menus, contained previews) keep native scrolling - Stops while a Radix dialog or menu locks body scroll - Honors prefers-reduced-motion (Lenis default) Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
- --ease-out, --ease-in, --ease-in-out redefined with stronger, longer settles; new ease-glide, ease-snap, ease-overshoot - Default transition curve and duration now use the house ease-out at 200ms, so plain transition classes pick it up - lib/motion.ts mirrors the tokens for Motion - Fix: custom curves used the Tailwind v3 --transition-timing-function-* namespace, so ease-slow (5 components) silently fell back to the default and section-reveal's animation declaration was invalid - Align --ease-minor-spring with the value the docs tell readers to use Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
- Route same-page hash links through Lenis (anchors: true) so an in-flight wheel glide can't pull the page back from the target heading; targets still honor scroll-margin like a native jump - Stop Lenis for useLockBody's inline overflow/position lock as well as Radix's data-scroll-locked, so wheel input can't move the page underneath Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Seed data-ready from the current read value on mount.
useMotionValueEvent runs only on change. If the page loads or restores with scroll already past ACTION_READY (for example, after a back navigation), data-ready is not set until the next scroll event. Until then the action has pointer-events-none, so a click on the visible link does nothing.

Stacked on #522 (Aperture Reveal). Merge that first, then retarget this to
main.Why
Wheel scrolling moved the page in steps of about 100px, so every scroll-linked animation advanced in visible jumps, and most transitions used soft or default easing curves. This adds smooth wheel scrolling on the same clock as our animations, and a set of house easing tokens.
What changed
Smooth wheel scrolling (
components/smooth-scroll.tsx, mounted once in the root layout)lerp: 0.14andwheelMultiplier: 1.1, run on Motion's frame loop so scroll and animation share one clock per frame.data-scroll-locked).Motion tokens (

--transition-timing-function-*names, which v4 ignores.ease-slowsilently fell back to the default curve in the previews of 5 components.section-reveal'sanimationdeclaration referenced an empty variable, which made the whole declaration invalid. These are renamed to
