Add Instagram integration #9

Description

@daltoniam

Why

Instagram is a requested consumer/social adapter (#9) for listing media, comments, and account insights. It is a weaker Switchboard fit than incident, flag, CI, or security APIs: most LLM ops workflows do not need Instagram, and Meta Graph auth is heavier than an API key.

Evidence

Auth

  • Meta app + Instagram product + OAuth (Instagram Login or Facebook Login).
  • App Review is required for most production permissions (instagram_business_basic, comments, insights, content publishing).
  • Long-lived user tokens must be refreshed. This is not a PAT-style first slice.

API shape

  • REST (Graph API). Cursor pagination (paging.next / after).
  • Rate limits are app- and user-level (error code 4 / 32) and vary by permission.

SDK vs HTTP

Prefer raw HTTP against Graph API. There is no maintained official Go SDK that is a better fit than net/http.

Proposed first-slice tools

  • instagram_get_me — Start here
  • instagram_list_media
  • instagram_get_media
  • instagram_list_comments
  • instagram_get_insights
  • Skip publishing/mutations until App Review and Content Publishing ToS are explicitly accepted.

Risks

  • Meta App Review and Platform Terms make unattended implementation unsafe for automation. Publishing, scraping-like bulk reads, and user-generated content have additional ToS constraints.
  • OAuth + token refresh is a larger auth surface than other P0/P1 candidates.
  • Do not pick this up for a new automation PR — work already exists on PR added instagram #18 / switchboard-instagram. Treat as in-progress-elsewhere, not a greenfield.

Priority: P3

Speculative for Switchboard's ops/dev workflow; messy OAuth/App Review. Keep researched, not ready.
