Summary

In the AWS tutorials, finding the AWS integration on the Browse integrations tab is hard. Results are sorted alphabetically, so the AWS tile comes after about 20 "Amazon ..." tiles. In 9.6 and later, the tile also opens the Add AWS page instead of the integration's details.

The global search field avoids both problems. It shows AWS near the top, and selecting it opens the Overview page directly in every version.

Changes:

• A new snippet with the global search steps for installing the AWS integration assets, used on 6 AWS tutorial pages.
• Firehose page: the vague step for the Amazon Data Firehose assets is replaced with concrete steps.
• CloudTrail page: the steps now install the AWS integration, matching the heading and the CloudTrail data stream and dashboard the page uses.
• Open an integration's details: the global search field is listed first, as the quickest way.

Yes, I think elastic/kibana#298829 will change this, and it won't work the same way anymore. For AWS integrations, it will open the AWS onboarding flow instead of any of the AWS integrations' details.
