Rewrites the seoskill.dev homepage to match the new README and to speak to teams that run agents on sites that make money from search.

Metadata

  • Title tag: SEO Skill | Open source SEO for agent-native teams (50 characters)
  • H1: SEO for agent-native teams (no "open source"), with a small "SEO Skill" label above it
  • Meta description: "Give your AI agent your real Search Console, Google Analytics, Bing and Clicky data, Google update dates and a site crawl. Free hosted MCP and open source CLI."

Sections

  1. Hero: SEO Skill label, H1, the README tagline, the hosted MCP setup commands first and the CLI second
  2. Why agents get SEO wrong: the four failures from the README, each linked to the command that answers it
  3. The data your agent works from: Search Console, Google Analytics, AI assistant visits, Bing, Clicky, Google update dates, index status, site crawl, research with your key. A line notes that AI questions in Search Console are coming next.
  4. Questions you can ask it
  5. Built for teams that run agents on real sites: agencies, in-house teams, founders
  6. Your agent decides and you approve: the report truth rules in plain words
  7. Two ways in, same reports (hosted MCP, CLI, keys, what is stored)
  8. Pick the SEO job (feature pages, same as before)
  9. Free SEO tools (same as before)
  10. FAQ, with new questions on content writing, agencies and open source

The commands grid is gone. The data cards and failure cards link to the same docs.

Also fixed

The CLI note under the setup commands said setup "saves your site". It does not. It now says it signs you in with Google and adds the skill, and that crawls and Bing run this way.

Checks

  • pnpm build, pnpm build:web, pnpm --filter @seo/web typecheck, pnpm --filter @seo/web test, pnpm test, pnpm lint all pass
  • Looked at desktop (1440), phone (390) and dark mode. No horizontal scroll at phone width.

No pricing, logos, testimonials or numbers added. Not deployed.

Match the new README. Lead with SEO Skill, use the README title and
tagline, and write to agencies, in-house teams and founders who already
run agents. The page now covers why agents get SEO wrong, the data the
agent works from (Search Console, Google Analytics, AI assistant visits,
Bing, Clicky, Google update dates, index status, crawl, research), the
questions to ask, who it is for, the report truth rules, and the two ways
in. The title tag carries "Open source SEO" for search; the H1 does not.

Fix the CLI note under the setup commands: setup saves nothing about
your site, it signs you in and adds the skill.
Sentence case everywhere. apps/web/AGENTS.md now says so.
Replace the section about what agents get wrong with four jobs the agent
can do today, give every linked card a label that says where it goes, cap
card grids at two columns, add the AI questions card and drop the
coming-next line.
Plain benefits on every card, a client-ready trust section in place of the
rules, a simpler connect section, a fourth team (publishers and large
sites), buyer FAQs, one text size across the side-by-side lists, and no
SEO job grid.
Homepage cards now link to feature pages that match their titles, the data
section has six cards, the subtitle speaks to teams, and section intros use
full sentences. Feature page doc cards say where they go.
It opens the account page, where signing in with Google creates the
account. Account becomes Sign in.
The header goes back to Docs, Tools, Stats, Account and GitHub.
