Social simulation with LLMs must move from a behaviorist "demographics in, behavior out" paradigm to cognitively grounded reasoning that is structured, revisable, and traceable. The paper introduces Generative Minds (GenMinds), a conceptual modeling paradigm, and RECAP, a framework for evaluating reasoning fidelity.
