The streaming NoiseSource (time blocks, increments bitwise identical to sample_path for every block size) is described in the architecture document but was assigned to no milestone. M1 only requires the NoiseSource interface, which BrownianPath implements. As decided by the maintainer on 2026-11-06, the streaming source joins M2, whose iterated integrals also concern step-wise generation of the noise.

Changes, documentation only:

  • Roadmap row M2: "streaming NoiseSource that draws increments in time blocks, with the reproducibility contract above".
  • Decision log entry of 2026-11-06.

The open question on counter-based sampling for the streaming source stays where it is.

The architecture document described the streaming source and its
reproducibility contract but assigned it to no milestone. M1 needs only
the NoiseSource interface, which BrownianPath implements; the streaming
source joins M2, whose iterated integrals also concern step-wise noise
generation. Recorded in the roadmap and the decision log.
