Implement search for Groupfolder administration #1103
official Nextcloud FPM docker image, running on Debian buster
On our 2 Nextcloud instances where the groupfolders app is installed, we noticed that the filter/search function (#125) at the top-right of the admin page (/settings/admin/groupfolders) doesn't filter anything.
In the web console, I can see the XHR request /core/search?query=foo&inApps%5B%5D=settings&page=1&size=30, it always returns an HTTP 200 response with empty JSON array, whatever string I put in the query parameter. And the view keeps displaying all our groupfolders.
@fschrempf , I was not trying to fix the search in the admin page of the groupfolders plugin (/settings/admin/groupfolders) where this issue occurs.
My fix concerns the group and user search in the folder's detail view: in the 'sharing' tab, administrator can specify advanced permissons (ACLs) for groups and users. That search is broken as well.
This problem has become more annoying with the new pagination. Previously, it was possible to use the browser's search function, which of course no longer works with the pagination.
Observed on our main instance (200+ group folders), that you need to move through the pagination multiple times before the individual pages start to show valid content. Ctrl+F5 attempted before. If it was my product, I'd consider a review of the component's software design.
@tomek2k1 and Teams-team, can you have a look at this and confirm that the missing search function in the list of groupfolders is indeed a bug, or not implemented? This is much needed for admins of large instances.
If it's a bug, a backport to 35 would be very much appreciated!
The issue is already very old and no longer up to date. Currently, there is no way to search for group folders in the Admin Settings. A search within the Groupfolders should be implemented to make things easier for organizations with a large number of group folders.

It looks like #1395 could maybe fix this!?

@jngrb Ok, got it. Thanks for pointing that out. So we need a separate fix for this issue.
