Missing Feature
With a large number of playbooks, it becomes increasingly difficult to navigate and find the one you need. Currently you have to browse through pages of playbooks, and the search (if any) is only available in the specific section you're already on.
It would be great if you could access the playbooks via a search that is available regardless of which page you are currently on. This would make finding a specific playbook much faster and more comfortable, especially in bigger installations with hundreds of playbooks.
Implementation
Suggested behavior:
- A search bar that is accessible from the global navigation (e.g. in the top navigation bar or via a keyboard shortcut like
Ctrl/⌘ + K), so it works on every page, not just the playbooks list.
- Live filtering / autocomplete as you type, showing matching playbooks (and ideally projects/tasks) instantly.
- Results should display the playbook name plus the project it belongs to, since playbook names can repeat across projects.
- Clicking a result navigates directly to the playbook details or its run page.
Optional / nice-to-have:
- Search could also match the playbook's related tasks or tags, not just the name.
- Keyboard navigation through the results (arrow keys + Enter) for a fast workflow.
